Action Man was introduced in the USA in 1964 under the license from Hassenfeild Bros Inc.
By 1966 Hassenfeld Bros and Hasbro Inc in the United States had come under the giant General Mills Co. who also acquired British Xylonite. Under the guidance of Hasbro Inc, Action Man was introduced in Britain in 1966 bearing the name Palitoy trade name.
like GI JOE , the first action men were Action Soldier , Action Sailor and Action Pilot together with outfits and accessories .Then came Talking Action Commander who could say eight different commands at random .
The frist Action Man was issused as a twelve-inch fully-articlated plastic figure with twenty movable , joints , neck , arms , biceps , elbows , wrist , hips , thighs , knees and ankles that could be posed.
